“Supporting Input Supply Value Chain through Blended Financing”
The Malawi Agricultural and Industrial Investment Corporation (MAIIC) is implementing the Supporting Input Supply Value Chain through Blended Financing project that seeks to strengthen and expand business development, financial and management services in the agricultural value chain. The project intends to support at least 50 agro-dealers over the next two years in financing their working capital needs and enabling them to stock products for sale to farmers. This initiative is expected to benefit over 250,000 smallholder farmers that are either operating as Individuals, Cooperatives, Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLAs) and Community Agribusiness Advisors (CAAs).
MAIIC in partnership with The African Fertilizer and Agribusiness Partnership (AFAP) and the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), is therefore inviting agro-dealers to regional sensitisation workshops at which the access to finance opportunity will be discussed. MAIIC will also solicit valuable feedback that will assist with development of a financing product that meets the needs of the agro-dealers. The workshops will take place at the following venues.
